One Hundred Year Old Recipe!

Olde Colony is the oldest family operated bakery in the historic Charleston area. They have been baking cookies since the late 1940’s. What’s even cooler is that they use no preservatives, no chemicals, no hydrogenated oils, and are trans-fat free!

What’s better than a delicious cookie?! A preservative free delicious cookie, that’s what! With such a great variety, it could prove difficult to choose just one flavor! These treats make great gifts and party snacks. Unique to the Lowcountry since Colonial times, Benne (which is the Bantu word for sesame) was brought from East Africa and planted extensively throughout the South. Many Lowcountry recipes call for this tasty toasted seed, but none is so loved as the Benne Wafer.

A Charleston favorite, this recipe dates back over 100 years and is believed to be the original Benne Wafer recipe. Every bag carefully hand-packaged!

Original Charleston Benne Wafers packed in a nice bag. 5oz.
